Review: Overtracked – So Deep

Having previously released on labels such as Armada Deep and White Widow Records, Overtracked brings a wealth of heavy-weight experience to rising UK Tech label Vacant Recordings. The Dutch production genius applies his signature industrial sound with ‘So Deep’, combined with its simplistic vocals and wide bassline, making the track a solid addition to the impressive Vacant roster.

Remixes from a combination of UK and Dutch talents complete the release. Firstly, we see Josh Gregg, following his huge 2016 Beatport #2 – Raw, throw his take on things with a punchy kick to add a little mainroom energy. Next up, another UK figure to watch closely with Glen Coombs, his remix similarly stepping the energy levels up making a real crowd pleaser. Exactly what you would expect of two upcoming UK Tech House artists! Finally, Vacant return to the Netherlands and find themselves a heavier Techno remix (and our pick of the release) from Paruballar, who keeps to the industrial theme and compliments it with a powerful running bassline.

Top marks throughout.
